As the new school year begins, it's time to recognize the exceptional students who have set the tone for a fantastic academic year ahead! The character trait for the month of August was "Respect," and we couldn't be prouder of our students for embracing this quality.

Why Respect?

Respect is the cornerstone of every positive relationship and is vital for the smooth functioning of any community. It means treating others the way you want to be treated, listening well, and showing courtesy to everyone, irrespective of differences. In a school environment, respect creates a culture of learning and inclusivity, benefiting everyone involved—students, teachers, and parents alike.

Our Outstanding Students

Teachers had a challenging time this month picking just one student from their classes because so many have been outstanding in showing respect to peers and adults alike. However, after careful consideration, we're thrilled to announce our August Students of the Month:

The Rewards

In addition, each Student of the Month will receive a free ticket to our Quarter One incentive event, which promises to be a fun and exciting experience for all!

Congratulations to our August Students of the Month! Here's to a school year filled with respect, compassion, and exceptional achievements!

North Campus Families,

We are so excited to see everyone this Monday/Tuesday for orientation. We have been very busy planning for a successful start to school and can’t wait to kick off a great year. Please read all of the information below to prepare for Orientation Day.

Orientation Schedule

  • Grades 2 & 3: Monday, August 9th from 9 am – 12 pm
  • Grades 4 & 5: Monday, August 9th from 1 pm – 4 pm
  • Grade 6: Tuesday, August 10th from 9 am – 12 pm
  • Grades 7 & 8: Tuesday, August 10th from 1 pm – 4 pm

Important Information

  • Time: You may arrive anytime during your grade's designated time window and do not need to stay the entire time.
  • Parking: There will be very limited parking available. Families should make sure to arrive in only one car. If it is at all possible to be dropped off or carpool, that would be best. We ask that everyone please leave the school as soon as you have completed all tasks to allow room for others.

What to Do

You will proceed in this order upon arrival:

  1. Find your name in the homeroom list in the cafeteria and head to your homeroom class
  2. Meet with your homeroom teacher and receive important flyers and information
  3. Head back to the cafeteria to pay school fees ($10 for elementary, $15 for middle school)

Our Parent Volunteer Organization (PVO) will also be available in the cafeteria. Please feel free to stop by and talk with them.

Have a great last weekend of summer, and we will see you soon!

Thank you,

Emre Akbaba, Principal
