"This is my second year working at Discovery Academy of Science. I teach 1st grade and love our school. Our students are excited about science and eager to learn and explore. Unlike most schools, we have an hour block each day specifically for science. We are also lucky to have great technology at our fingertips. Each classroom has a smart board and classroom computers. We also have access to a computer lab and laptops. Being at a school centered around STEM fosters an excitement to learn within our students".
"Between the administration and generous parents, we have all the resource and supplies we could ever need. The parents at our school are involved and help work with the students to achieve their full potential. The students in my classroom are all enthusiastic to learn and many of them are already reaching 2nd grade standards. We are very fortunate to have such a great group of kids!".
"One of the things that I love most about working at DAS is the staff. We are such a small school which allows us to know one another personally. We have become a family rather than just co-workers. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t trade my job as a teacher here for anything. I look forward to coming to work each day and feel lucky to be surrounded by such a great group of students, staff, and parents!".
