Suzanne Mizzi brings over 22 years of experience in the educational field, dedicated to supporting students and fostering academic excellence. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, with a minor in Child Psychology, from Hunter College, The City University of New York in 2004, and went on to receive her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University in sunny Florida in December of 2012.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mizzi has worked in a variety of educational roles, gaining a rich and diverse perspective on teaching and leadership. She has served as a middle school teacher, led the Science Department at a K–8 Charter school, worked as Dean of Students for four years, and served as an Assistant Principal at a charter school in Tampa for five years. Currently, she is the K2 Administrator for Curriculum and Instruction at Discovery Academy of Science, where she continues to engage directly with students and coaching staff, shaping meaningful learning experiences across multiple capacities.
A lifelong learner, Ms. Mizzi models curiosity and a love of learning for all her students, inspiring them to explore, grow, and reach their fullest potential. Her dedication, expertise, and leadership make her a valued member of the K-2 community.
