Our Mission
Our mission is to provide students with a well-rounded education with a focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.)
Discovery Academy of Science is a public charter school approved by the Pinellas County School District.
Currently, we are accepting students in Grades K-8
We work hard to make sure our graduates are prepared for the future. One of the major requirements is to help students learn how to learn – to have critical thinking and communication skills necessary for success in the world of tomorrow.

OUR PHILOSOPHY is to utilize state-of-the-art technology, in a stimulating environment with teachers who are empowered to provide the most effective instructional strategies to maximize each child's educational experience.
Individual Attention -- Making Sure Students “GET IT”
Low student-to-teacher ratio and support, even free tutoring (if needed)
Hands-on learning in regular classes and lab-settings, where young minds get inspired Innovative instructional methods that have proven track records
Regular evaluation to ensure students don’t get behind or aren’t being held back -- using the best evaluation resources available, including MAP Testing (Measures of Academic Progress) from NWEA (The Northwest Evaluation Association, a national leader, approved by the State of Florida.)
